 ABOUT OGSKC

WHAT IS OGSKC?

The Optometric Society of Greater Kansas City is an organization of optometrists in the Kansas City metropolitan area dedicated to providing quality eye health care to our patients.  Our members serve the community in many different practice modalities and meet monthly to participate in continuing education, discuss current healthcare policies affecting optometry, learn from industry experts about new technologies, and much more.  Members of OSGKC must also either be a member of the Kansas Optometric Association (KOA) or Missouri Optometric Assocation (MOA).  Utilizing doctor input from both the Kansas and Missouri side of state line allows us to gain a broader understanding of issues affecting the profession in different states.  The OSGKC also offers an annual scholarship to 4th year optometry students who plan to practice in the Kansas City area.  This not only encourages students to excel in their professional education but also serves as a starting point for involvement in the profession upon returning to Kansas City.
